Carlsberg – ‘Probably the best beer in the world’ – I think not.
Although Carlsberg may be marketed as the best beer in the world, I certainly don’t believe it is. It has a very unique taste, creamy but yet crisp at the same time. Not being a fan of creamy beers probably doesn’t help but there’s something about Carlsberg that makes it different. It has a light yellow appearance and quite a distinctive sweet aroma.

Carlsberg brewing began back in 1847, in beautiful Denmark (Queen Mary’s new home). This is where the foundations were laid for what we now call the Carlsberg beer. Unfortunately, Carlsberg is no longer brewed and bottled in Denmark but rather under license by Forster’s here in Australia.
Even though I might not be an absolute fan of the Carlsberg beer I don’t believe it’s a bad brew and hence why it has an early mention on my blog. It’s a beer that can be comfortably consumed in quantity unlike its big brother – Carlsberg Elephant Beer, which I will review at a later time. Carlsberg should be always be served chilled to get the most out of it. Carlsberg is readily available from nearly every bottle store at minimal cost, the last six pack I bought even came with a free cooler bag which I use on a regular basis. Unfortunately, this notion is not the same for pubs, certain ones will serve it but not as a majority. Carlsberg goes well with most main meals especially pasta, which I enjoyed with it tonight.
Please feel free to go and try a Carlsberg and make your own mind up on whether it is the best beer in the world.

Beer is good in general… Sooo…. Yeah.. Creamy beers a different always but always great for a change..
To me the locally (Australian) brewed Carlsberg is one of the best tasting beers in the world – clean, crisp, bitter – try it in a chilled pilsener glass after a hard days slog – however tastes are personal
