1st Choice stores nationally currently have a promotion going with Foursquare that allows the buyer to receive 50% off any 4 or 6 pack of beer!
What’s the catch? You need to have the Foursqaure app on your mobile device and you need to ‘check-in’ at the relevant store to unlock the special and show the cashier you have done this.
Here’s a screenshot of my check-in last night with the details on it:

Now for the fine print: You can only recieve 50% off one six or four pack per day - which means one check-in per day.
This awesome offer ends on 30th June 2011, so get to your local 1st Choice and getting checking-in now!

If you can get a hold of todays Courier Mail (Friday 5th November) do so, cause on page 31 you will find a voucher for a case of Coronas for $35! This is the cheapest we’ve ever seen them and the sale only lasts till this Sunday 7th November.
The voucher is for the Paddo Tavern which is part of McGuires Cellars but if you take it to Dan Murphy’s or 1st Choice they will price match and possibly beat it further, if you’re lucky.
Our full review of Corona can be found here.
Enjoy this special while it lasts and have a great weekend!

1st Choice Liquor Superstores are currently running an international beer special. Pick and mix any six international beers and you will receive 20% off the total cost and if you’re lucky receive a free ‘Beer World’ carry bag like I did.
I picked up the following beers for $31:
2 x Orval – 6.2% alcohol (Belgian)
2 x Leffe Radieus – 8.2% alcohol (Belgian) and
2 x Skull Splitter – 8.5 alcohol (Scottish).
Expect full reviews of the three beers listed above in the coming weeks.
When considering the normal price of such beers this special works out to be a decent saving, especially if you can get away without ordering them online and paying a shipping fee. As you have probably already noticed the international beer range varies significantly from one 1st Choice to another, so you may want to try a few different stores if you are chasing a particular brew. I have been told that this is an ongoing promotion which should last four weeks or more, so make use of it while you can.

BWS currently have an E-Voucher for Löwenbräu Original beer, for the purchase of a six pack for $10 but hurry this offer ends next Sunday the 1st November 2009. Unfortunately we haven’t reviewed this beer yet but will be doing so in the near future. For the time being here’s what I can tell you about it – Löwenbräu Original is a premium lager made in Germany, need I say more. A bottle of this German brew has 5.2% alcohol, is crisp & refreshing and it goes down well making it a good choice for a session with friends. Until the review is up, why not give it a try while it’s on special and let us know your thoughts, cheers!
